Dan K. Kaye is an obstetrician-gynecologist and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Makerere University of College of Health Sciences, Kampala, Uganda. His research interests are evaluating informed consent in emergency care research, especially randomized clinical trials in emergency obstetric and newborn care. He has a PhD in Public Health Sciences (Reproductive Health) jointly awarded by Makerere University and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden (2006), a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Makerere University (1998), and a certificate in Coordinating Clinical Research from University of Alabama, Birmingham (2006).
